Heres an interesting one ... with a story...
We sold this little car last month for £2495, duly having MoT'd and serviced her.
Within literally a couple of weeks, she started to put a light on the dashboard. We replaced a cracked exhaust system, new plugs fitted and new HT leads. New coil packs. New crank sensor.
Still the problem persisted, not a problem as such, the car runs faultlessly without a flicker of hesitation. However, the engine management light will blink on. It'll flash...momentarily, then go off. For a day. Then it'll flash on, then it'll stay on, then go off. Without any change in the running of the car whatsoever. We refunded the lady her money and conducted further inspection, to no avail.
So we are stumped. A car that runs great, only £30 a year to tax, with a full service record, yet occasionally puts a light on. Hence the cheap price. Any inspection welcome, it may be a connection to the instrument cluster, we don't know. Feel free to come for a look and a drive, see what you think.
